We design and provide consulting services for the protection of portal zones located in complex soil and water conditions, particularly in landslide-prone areas (Carpathian flysch). Our design studies include comprehensive solutions for ensuring slope stability near the portals, as well as structural protection of the portal aisles themselves. Our design solutions also include comprehensive drainage systems for portal zones. We conduct design analyses using industry-leading software. To select optimal and safe solutions that guarantee reliability in complex soil and water conditions, we develop advanced numerical models (two-dimensional and three-dimensional) along with simulation of landslide activation processes based on the finite element method.
We are currently carrying out design work related to the construction of 9 tunnel portals and portal zones located in complex soil and water conditions, often in landslide zones.
We also provide services in the field of monitoring tunnel portal walls.
